Since 1989, The Sandford Language Institute Dublin 2 & 6, has offered Spanish classes / courses at all levels, year round,from general classes to Travel Preparation courses & private tuition.

If you have missed the official start date of a course, we can arrange a catch up class to cover what you have missed at beginner level at no additional cost or if you are not a total beginner, you wont be charged for the weeks that you have missed. Special offer on course fees! The Sandford Language Institute has been running classes in Spanish since 1989. Our tutors are native speakers and qualified teachers, teaching the communicative use of the language making it as relevant as possible to every day situations. All of the main language skills of Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Use of language (Grammar) are developed in class. Secondary School Courses Information
We have been providing Spanish tuition for Secondary school Students 1st-6th years, intensive and weekly group classes for many years.We offer Intensive Summer,& Mid-Term Break Intensive Courses in addition to once weekly classes of 90 minutes duration during the school year September to May.

| Spanish Level 1 Beginners Autumn 2017 | Level 1 -Greetings, introductions and alphabet (learn how to spell words in Spanish) -Days of the week - Nacionalities and introduction to verbs (verb "to be") - Useful phrases to use in the classroom or basic conversations. -Professions and continuation with verbs (regular) - The seasons. - Vocabulary to be able to give personal details (email, telephone, fax, address etc..) - Differences between a "you person" and a " you formal" (usted). Uses in everyday situations. - Vocabulary about the family, Questions and answers. New verb, "to have". - Vocabulary to describe people, introduction of a few new verbs and practice. - Basic vocabulary to be able to order in a restaurant, understanding the menu and be able to ask for something else If needed. - Roleplay/ Grammar/ Vocabulary to go shopping, asking for things in the shops, prices, etc... and demostratives. - All numbers. -Colours. - Differences between the two verbs "to be" in Spanish and description of a city, town, etc... Vocabulary about the topic and practice. - The time (with some groups) -Description about the house, vocabulary and practice. Prepositions to describe the location of things. (NOTE!! | Spanish Lower Intermediate Autumn 2017 | Lower Intermediate - I can understand and use simple structures fairly consistently, and can ask and respond to a wide range of simple questions. I have a reasonable idea of how the tense system works. I can express myself in familiar contexts, although I still make a quite a lot of mistakes. |
| Spanish Intermediate Autumn 2017 | Intermediate - I have a good understanding and knowledge of a wide range of language structures and functions, although I may continue to make minor errors syntactically. I have considerable passive knowledge, but need to expand my active usage. I am ready to learn different ways of expressing ideas, work on the subtle nuances of the language, and expand the range of what I can say and write. |
